Spaghetti Sauce, from a jar, then enhanced
Serves 2

13 oz (1/2 jar) Classico D'Abruzzi Traditional Favorites
"Italian Sausage with Peppers & Onions"
1 Hot Italian sausage, skinned and cut into small pieces
2 Lg mushrooms or more smaller ones
1/2 Jalapeno pepper, chopped up *
2 Cloves garlic, whole or halved
4 - 6 oz water

Combine the ingredients in a medium sauce pan and simmer,
covered but vented for an hour or so until it reaches the
desired thickness.

We use 5 oz spaghetti, but you can use more for larger
appetites. Serve sprinkled with grated parmesan cheese
and a side salad or vegetable.

* Substitute: 1/2 tsp ground chili pepper
