HULL: One piece molded fiberglass laminate (hand lay-up) with integrally bonded bulkheads. Standard hull color, white (other colors optional). Boot top and antifouling bottom paint. Cove stripe. (Colored whale stripe optional.)
DECK & COCKPIT: One-piece molded reinforced fiberglass laminate with balsa core for stiffness and insulation. Beige colored non-skid surfaces molded in (other colors optional). Stiffened vinyl headliner (removable panels) attached to cabin overhead. Self-bailing cockpit. Cockpit sail lockers (P&S) and lazaret hatch aft. Fiberglass seahoods and sliding hatches at both companionways. Teak drop slides for aft companionway. Fiberglass coamings and winch islands with teak trimmed stowage alcoves under. Teak handrails on cabin top. Teak drip rails on edge of coachroof. Teak toe rail caps. Deck scuppers (P&S). Deck unit glassed and mechanically fastened to hull for complete watertight integrity. MACHINERY: Westerbeke 60 (formerly 4-154) fresh water cooled diesel engine. 2:1 reduction gear in V-drive, 55 amp alternator. 1-1/2" bronze shaft, strut and bronze gland stuffing box. Stainless steel waterbox muffler with steamhose. Individual throttle and clutch controls mounted on steering pedestal. Instruments in cockpit will include tachometer, hour meter, oil pressure, water temperature and ammeter. 80 gallon aluminum fuel tank with deck fill and overboard vents. Automatic fuel shut-off valve, fuel filter and flexible fuel line with fire proof sleeve.
TANKS & PLUMBING: Three fiberglass water tanks located under settee berths in main salon and under forward V-berth; total capacity of 150 gallons. Separate deck fills, vents and supply lines with shut-off valves. Fresh water plumbing is nylon tubing. All scuppers and any intake and discharge lines below water line fitted with bronze seacocks. Toilet fitted with 30 gallon holding tank with deck pumpout (other toilet systems optional). Hot and cold pressure water system throughout. Shower Hot water heater (6 gallon capacity) runs on engine hot water or optional shore power. Water purifier system at galley sink.
ELECTRICAL: Custom switch panel with circuit breakers. Battery test meter. Master power switch. Two 12 volt 155 AH batteries. International navigation lights. Interior cabin lights. Stranded copper wiring with impervious covering, color coded for circuit identification according to BIA standards. All wiring located as high above bilge area as possible, designed to minimize voltage drops.
HARDWARE & DECK FITTINGS: Chrome-plated brass or bronze, stainless steel, and special marine alloys including custom designed stainless steel stemhead fitting, bow cleats, stern cleats (P&S). Four large fixed ports (one at galley, one over owner's berth, two in head, six small opening ports. Dorade vent over head and shower compartment. Transparent aluminum frame hatches in forward cabin, main salon and galley. ALUM-T genoa tracks through bolted (P&S). Genoa blocks with track slides. Main, mizzen and genoa sheet winches. Stainless steel bow pulpit and sern rail. Stainless steel lifeline stanchions, upper and lower vinyl covered stainless steel lifelines. Boarding gate starboard side. Edson steerer with 5" E.S. SPARS: Main mast and boom and mizzen mast and boom of protective coated 6061-T6 alloy with internal track section. Main mast stepped on keel. Aluminum spreaders. Custom masthead fittings with stainless steel tangs. Main, jib and mizzen halyard winches and cleats. Jiffy reefing winch on main boom. Fixed gooseneck on main boom, adjustable mizzen gooseneck to facilitate furling. External outhauls and topping lifts. Flag halyard at both mastheads and starboard spreader.
RIGGING: Standing - stainless steel 1 x 19 wire with truloc swaged end fittings. Stainless steel turnbuckles on headstay, backstay, upper and lower shrouds. Toggles on upper and lower shrouds and masthead toggle on headstay. 7 x 19 stainless steel mizzen preventers with tackle system adjustment. Running - main, mizzen and jib halyards of 7 x 19 stainless steel with spliced Dacron tails, Dacron main, mizzen and genoa sheets.
INTERIOR: Sleeping accommodations for six. V-berth in forward cabin with trap stowage under (P&S). V-filler lowers to make seat. Rope locker in forepeak . Shelves over V-berth (P&S). SAFETY EQUIPMENT: Bonding system incorporates common grounding of chain plates, seacocks, engine and fuel tank. Seacocks on all thruhulls below water line. Deck and cockpit areas have molded-in non-skid surfaces. Self-bailing cockpit. Natural and forced draft ventilation of engine compartment in accordance with U.S.C.G. regulations. Manual bilge pump. Teak handrails on cabin top. Teak grab rails in cabins. Automatic fuel shut-off.
